To Lead Is To Serve
The call to lead is the call to conversion through the exercise of service. As Christians, we are all called by the Lord Jesus to follow him as disciples and to share the Good News of salvation with others. In our ministry here at Drexel Newman, we look to reach out to students and help them encounter the Lord in their own life, help them to grow in their relationship with God and help them to discover the call to serve others as missionary disciples. There are many ways to serve both within our community as well as outside the Newman Center and Parish.
One of the ways available is to serve on our Drexel Newman Service Team, whose description is found below.
Our Drexel Newman 2025 Leadership Team
The Leadership Team serves the Catholic community on Drexel’s campus by advancing the mission and vision of the Newman Center at St. Agatha–St. James. Team members plan and organize events that help students encounter Christ, grow in their faith, and share the Gospel. Through their example and leadership, they help cultivate a culture of radical welcome and intentional outreach, authentic community, faith formation, apostolic service, and growth in stewardship as a way of life.

INTERESTED IN JOINING THE LEADERSHIP TEAM?
First, take a moment to pray and discern. Might God be asking you to serve others through this community?
There are many ways to do so. If you feel drawn to the Service Team, we invite you to Read the general leadership descriptions below, this Google Doc that lists the available positions and each one’s role, and the Drexel Newman Constitution, which has greater detail on position responsibilities and the election and selection process.
You may also find it helpful to speak with former student leaders or staff members about their experience. For questions or conversation, feel free to email Thibault Vincent at tvincent@saintsaj.org.
