Spiritual Accompaniment
IT'S WHAT WE'RE ALL ABOUT.
What’s Spiritual Accompaniment look like? Many things. It can be a one-on-one talk over coffee. It can be spiritual direction on a weekly or monthly basis. Many of our staff have degrees or training in spiritual accompaniment. Some people need accountability. Some need a listening ear or to simply not feel alone.
So we’re here for you.
COFFEE
Coffee just brings people together. Our campus ministers, FOCUS missionaries, and student leaders would LOVE to grab a cup o’ joe with you and talk about life.
SPIRITUAL DIRECTION
Sometimes one coffee isn't enough and we need someone to walk with us through the joys and trials that life presents. Learn more about what spiritual direction is, who is available (and licensed), and more.
What’s Spiritual Direction?
Here at the Newman Center, our motto is "Heart Speaks to Heart." It is God who continuously reaches out and invites us to listen to his voice from the depths of our heart. We find that it is helpful in trying to learn how to pray and discern God's voice (from other voices) the presence of another person who has experience in the spiritual life. More than "direction," we really offer to walk with you or accompany you on your journey towards the Lord.
