The Heart to Heart Giving Society (the Newman Center’s online, monthly giving program) supports the ongoing operational needs of our ministry. Essentially, this is our e-giving/online program for former students, current students, parents, parishioners, and others to conveniently support our mission. 

By giving through the Heart to Heart Society, your gift will fund everything from the student organizations and retreats to the wifi students use to study!

What an exciting time for the Drexel Newman ministry! Our new FOCUS missionaries have brought a big spark to our ministry outreach, and we have already doubled the number of students in small groups in just their first year on campus. We are also undergoing a beautiful redevelopment of our Newman Center that we share with our sister Penn ministry, who is celebrating their 125th Anniversary this year. Together with them, we'd ask you to "save-the-date" to come celebrate the 125th Anniversary Newman Celebration this October 4-6th, where we will also inaugurate our new Newman Center. I also have to mention that Drexel Newman's 100th Anniversary is just around the corner in 2021!

Three of our members and one Drexel professor are going through the RCIA program to be received into the Church or to be Confirmed. And the most rewarding thing to me is the simple fact that students are growing deeper and deeper in their relationship with Jesus. All of this joy is magnified by the excitement of what lies ahead. With the opening of the new building, there is a general sense, and a hopeful certitude, that next year will mark one of the most important years in the history of Drexel Newman, which will be inaugurated by our first early-move-in Freshman Retreat where we expect at least 30 freshmen to attend. The Lord continues to bless Drexel Newman and we want to thank all of you for supporting us and being a part of such a beautiful family.

The Newman Center joyfully ministers to students as they leave their home parishes, but because we are a university parish, our offertory covers only 13% of our ministry, we rely heavily on the generosity of Heart to Heart Society members. With their reliable support, we can more effectively budget and therefore minister to students to the fullest extent.
