Welcome Mass for Freshmen and Parents

All freshmen students and their parents are welcome to celebrate Sunday Mass with the Drexel Newman Catholic Community!

Mass will be celebrated at 9 am in Mitchell Auditorium, located in the Bossone Reseach Center (31st & Market St.)

Tuesday, september 18

Newman Mass, Floats, & Fun

Come and get to know the Drexel Newman Catholic Community! We will celebrate Mass at 8:00pm in the St. Katharine Drexel chapel, located in room 212 of the Academic Building. After Mass, join us across the street to the Buckley Volleyball Courts to hang out, enjoy some "locally brewed" root beer, and play lawn games!

Interfaith Cafe

Make friends with a minister, get real with a rabbi, pick the brain of a priest, join Spiritual & Religious Life for a pop-up cafe in the JEMIC (33rd & Race) from 1-3pm! Earn cool swag, drink coffee and eat yummy snacks as you travel from table to table at this interactive event. At each stop, you’ll find leaders from different campus religious communities ready to talk about life’s big questions. Students of all faiths and none are welcome to join us to celebrate interfaith community and build bridges across difference.

Welcome BBQ & Volleyball

Come hang out with the Drexel Newman Catholic Community! Join us for a BBQ and volleyball at the Buckley Sand Volleyball Courts at 6pm. There will be fun, fellowship, and a lot of free food! 

Beginning of School Mass & Luncheon

Join us for 11:30 Mass at our local Catholic Church, St. Agatha - St. James, located at 3728 Chestnut Street. After Mass, there will be a free luncheon in the Parish Hall under the Church for all new and returning Drexel students. Start your school year off right with a special blessing for the new school year!

A group of Drexel students will meet at the Dragon at 11:10 to walk over to St. Agatha - St. James together.

Drexel Newman Lock-in

End your first week of class with the Drexel Newman Lock-in! We're kicking off our 24-hour Lock-in at 6:00pm at St. Agatha-St. James. Stay overnight in the Newman Center and enjoy fun games, good food, a city-wide scavenger hunt, and fellowship with other Catholic students. 
Whether you are a regular community member, or someone seeking to meet new friends and get involved with Newman, you are welcome!
